REOPENING
OF NOTRE-DAME
DE PARIS
AN INAUGURAL 'MERCI' THAT ILLUMINATES ITS REOPENING
After five years of meticulous restoration, the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris officially regains all its splendor on December 7, 2024, during an exceptional show.
Produced by PublicisLive, the show is directed by Jérôme Revon, with photographic direction by Frédéric Dorieux.
Commissioned for the official inauguration sequence, our Creative Studio delivers a spectacular fusion of video mapping technology and immersive storytelling.
To celebrate the history, resilience, and future of this emblematic French landmark, SUPERBIEN—renowned worldwide for the quality and originality of its breathtaking immersive experiences—transforms the moment into a timeless emotional journey.
Comprising seasoned art directors, motion designers, and producers, our team brings just the right touch of creativity to the cathedral’s majestic façade, elevating and transforming it while honoring its centuries-old, unique, and precious architecture.
A striking fusion of tradition and modernity, the contemporary artistic creation captivates a wide audience: over 40 heads of state and international dignitaries, along with nearly 1,600 prestigious guests, including artists, public figures, and cultural icons. Broadcast live in more than 120 countries, with a record-breaking audience of nearly 8 million viewers on France 2, the spectacle also enthralls over 4,000 spectators gathered outside in the rain.
Beyond this spectacular inauguration, the international community’s interest in the cathedral’s rebirth symbolizes the power of the arts, culture, and French craftsmanship. Echoing the masterful work of the artisans, the artists at our Creative Studio SUPERBIEN bring a refined and subtle use of video mapping, enriching the show with a modern, vibrant expression.
Retracing the key milestones of its history, the artistic performance gracefully and powerfully pays tribute to the thousands involved in its restoration—firefighters, craftsmen, builders, donors—with its now-iconic closing word: MERCI.
