CAF 2019
OPENING CEREMONY
Superbien is in charge of designing the opening ceremony for the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, uniting culture, technology and youth in a show broadcast worldwide.
(About the project)
For the 32nd edition of the African Cup of Nations, CAF entrusts Superbien with the creation of an opening ceremony celebrating Egyptian heritage, technological innovations and the new generation. A challenge of cultural and artistic influence on an international scale.
Superbien orchestrates an immersive show combining mapping, LEDs, pyrotechnics, lighting and live performances on a monumental scenography broadcast live worldwide.
(Creative response)
Our teams designed content projected onto a floor and volume projection surface, integrating three giant pyramids, four monumental statues and XXL LED screens. Each scenic element is activated by synchronized visual choreography, creating a spectacular 360° narrative.
A live international broadcast that positions Egypt at the center of the cultural and sporting scene, reinforcing the visibility of CAF and Superbien know-how.
(Result & Impact)
The show reaches millions of viewers around the world. It magnifies Egypt's heritage, while presenting an innovative image of the country. The event left a lasting impression thanks to its scale, technical precision and artistic ambition.
